The European Voluntary Service (EVS) is a program supported by the European Union and is developed within the framework of the Erasmus + European Program, which is a unique program that "seeks to boost the job possibilities and the personal development of young people who they do it. "
What exactly?
EVS is a volunteer experience aimed at young people between 17 and 30 years of age in a different country, which does not require any economic cost for the person who volunteers. And the main goal is collaboration in a social project that can be related to any field: environment, culture, elderly people, social inclusion, human rights, ethnic minorities ...
Requirements to participate in the program?
-To be between 17 and 30 years old.
-Belonging to a European country or to be from one of any European country, or those already mentioned; Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia.
-To submit a guarantee from an organization that acts as a sending entity, and that is accredited by the National Agency of your country within the framework of the Erasmus + program.
-It is important to have a university degree.
What does the European volunteer experience include?
The European Voluntary Service includes accommodation, travel, medical insurance, transportation, pocket money, and language support. For the participation, it is necessary to have a level B1 of Spanish.
What will be the volunteer's work in Jovesolides?
Usually, the volunteers will collaborate in different areas of the entity. One of the main areas is E-inclusion, through which will be to offer the support in Espai in La Coma, in the neighborhood of preferential action of the same name, located in Paterna (València). In this one, they will work with majority gypsy population, and immigrants of diverse origins. The main purpose of this space is to combat the digital divide of the residents of the neighborhood and promote intercultural coexistence, and the empowerment of personal and collective identity. In short, promote the social inclusion of all people through the use of ICT (new technologies).
And they can also make support in the rest of the areas of the entity: in communication, entrepreneurship and social innovation and education for development.
