European youth unemployment rate raised with 2018 crisis. Today it keeps being high. For example, Spain is the second country with highest unemployment rate between OECD countries, which is 36%, based on the last Eurostat data. in front of this worrying reality Jovesolides gets engaged with Move It. This project main objective is to fight juvenil unemployment in Europe by searching alternatives such as self-employment.
Because of Move It Jovesolides have gathered with other seven European countries' youth workers. The objective: to share an innovative methodology, namely the Solución Creativa a Problemas Sociales (SCPS), Creative Solution to Social Problems, which is designed by Jovesolides to foster juvenil social entrepreneurship, as well as to boost citizen participation through advocacy and consultation roundtables.
In this European meeting the following organization participated: Demostene (Italy), Sting for Consultancy & Design (Egypt), The Lebanese Development Network (LDL) (Lebanon), Fundacja Autokracja (Poland), Dokuz Eylul Universitesi (Turkey), Santa Casa Misericordia (Portugal), National Management School (Bulgaria) and Jovesolides, which leads the project from Spain.
Each youth worker and/or participating project manager, three per entity, could learn about the Solución Creativa a Problemas Sociales (SCPS), Creative Solution to Social Problems, methodology and its application. In this way, they could replicate it in their own country. Moreover, thanks to the training they enhanced their ability to act as agent of social change and multipliers.
The participants enthusiastically contributed to this one-week long training with their interesting opinions, which reflected the different socio-economic reality of their countries. Furthermore, during this meeting, characterized by the centrality of communication and creativity, the relevance of social entrepreneurship to incentivize juvenil employment in Europe and neighbouring countries.
