This week from Jovesólides we deliver SIM connection cards to the families of the La Coma neighbourhood thanks to the collaboration of the Paterna town council. The ultimate goal: to facilitate access to telematic means which are, now more than ever, extremely necessary due to the health crisis caused by coronavirus.
The 4G SIM connection cards, donated by Vodafone with the intervention of the Government, have been given to the most vulnerable families who do not have Internet access, or have limited access.
With this action, the objective is to favor the access to the telematic alternative to allow the students of the neighborhood to continue with their online formation. This also minimises the lack of communication and information caused by a lack of Internet. A situation that has be
en aggravated by the confinement experienced in recent months.
At Jovesólides, we have been working in the La Coma area for 20 years, as well as collaborating with the Paterna local government to reduce the impact of the digital gap in their community. Furthermore, since the government decreed the state of alarm, we have maintained direct communication with the residents of the area through the entity. The ultimate goal: to provide them with up to date information about the health crisis, to resolve doubts, to provide vocational guidance, to identify any needs... and thus guarantee wellbeing.
Our activities and iniciatives are especially aimed at the most vulnerable groups: unemployed people, young people and migrants. Through the Space La Coma, we keep checking that the cocktail combining new technologies, personal empowerment and community strengthening is successful.
