After the success of previous editions, the School of Citizenship for immigrants is back. Now with more training hours and loaded with new features. The ultimate goal: to promote the inclusion of migrants so that they can be a reference in the Valencian political arena.
If you are an immigrant or the child of an immigrant, have experience in collaborating with associative movements and wish to become a leader to build a more just and egalitarian society, this school is the place to do it. A space to train you in the defense of diversity as a social value.
In this third edition, in addition to the training modules, registered students will be able to attend mentoring sessions with leading political authorities. The following have so far confirmed their participation: Najat Driouech, Rita Bosaho, Luc Adré Diouf, Fátima Hamed Hossain, Irene Gómez and Guillem Balboa.
The mentoring sessions will be a unique opportunity for the students. The main objective is to bring participants closer to the experience and trajectory of politicians and politicians who, from the field of activism, have made the leap to the political arena of the Spanish state.
And another novelty of this third edition are theopen days, organized at the headquarters of the Valencian political parties. Through these visits, students will be able to learn a little more about the inner workings of political parties and to increase their knowledge of them.
This initiative is led by Jovesólides and Espai Obert el Marítim and ACOEC also participate as partners. Together they work to promote the participation of immigrants in Valencian society through training, personal empowerment and the positive management of interculturality.
This training is aimed at 45 people from the Valencian Community. In addition to being immigrants or children of immigrants, they must have a high school diploma (homologation is not necessary), accredited experience in associative movements and an average level of Spanish.
