Applications can be submitted until 16 April for the course that will run until 2024.
The European Parliament elections and municipalism will mark a programme that, for the first time, comes to Alicante and Castellón.
New teaching staff and training modules on the challenges of international politics, citizens' rights and hate crimes
The 5th Citizenship School opens the registration period for migrants and people of migrant origin who wish to access this programme, which has already trained more than 160 leaders in its first four editions in the Valencian Community. Those interested in participating in the selection process can apply for one of the 45 places available by filling in this form until 16 April.
Promoted by Jovesólides, Acoec ONGD and Espai Obert El Marítim with funding from the Vice-presidency of Social Services, Equality and Housing, the 5th School of Citizenship will be marked by the elections to the European Parliament next June and by political municipalism. For the first time, the School of Citizenship lands in Alicante and Castellón with activities open to the public that will be announced in the coming weeks.
In this sense, the conversational meetings between representatives of parties and institutions are maintained; the mentoring of political referents of migrant origin; and the open days in all Valencian political parties. Visits are also planned to parliamentary seats such as the Corts Valencianes, where students will be able to learn first-hand about the workings of the regional legislative chamber.
The course will begin on 24 April with an inaugural lecture on the European elections.
