Jovesólides seeks external audit for a European project to boost female digital employability

– DigiWave, co-funded by Interreg NEXT MED, will run for 36 months in Spain, Greece, Tunisia and Jordan

– ROAC registration and previous experience in audits of European projects is required

Jovesólides has opened a call for tenders to hire an external audit to financially supervise the European project DigiWave, co-financed by the Interreg NEXT MED program, an initiative that seeks to close the gender digital divide in the Euro-Mediterranean region. The deadline for receipt of technical and financial bids will be open until May 17. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in auditing European funds and with a strong commitment to transparency and social inclusion.

DigiWave, Women Access Versatile Employment in Digital Economy is led by Jovesólides Spain together with Action Aid in Greece; the Center of Arab Women for Training and Research (CAWTAR) in Tunisia and Al-Balqa Applied University in Jordan. Its goal is to train 200 women in vulnerable situations with digital skills that will enable them to successfully enter the digital economy. The 36-month project also includes the creation of an e-learning platform, a free MOOC and the development of a catalog of public policy recommendations.

The contract with the audit will cover the entire duration of the program, with semi-annual delivery of expenditure verification reports. The audit will be key to ensuring the proper use of funds and compliance with European regulations.

Key requirements to apply

• -Be registered in the Official Register of Auditors (ROAC), either individually or as part of an auditing entity.
• -Have previous experience in audits of projects financed by the European Union.
• -Be fluent in Spanish and have a C1  level in English.
• -Guarantee independence from the entity (Jovesólides), without having participated in any phase of the project.
• -No conflict of interest with Jovesólides, in accordance with the EU Financial Regulation.
