How many opportunities we have today to view our reality from other perspective? Actually, not many. We live in environments that limit us, and we think homogeneously. The prejudices also condition our eyes, they generate attitudes of rejection, distance and fear into the unknown, and to other people.
Under the metaphor, out of the box, and inside a development education project, Jovesolides creates La Caja, an initiative that will bring closer to children and young people from Educational centers of the Valencian Community to other realities focused on the sustainaible development goals (SDGs). With a innovative methodology, the SCPS, designed by the association. And also with creative dynamics and personal experiences. These will help to young people to break the prejudices, and the walls of the box. With this experience they will look outside, and they will have a different role and more active in society. They will have more respect to difference.
The project “La Caja: Eradication of prejudice and promotion of youth social action about the sustainaible development goals from the social innovation”, encourages to break prejudices that limit our vision. And it will do it through 4 of those sustainaible development goals, which symbolically represent the 4 walls of our box. And these will be: quality education, gender equality, responsible consumption and production, and the partnerships for the goals.
Today this project begins, in the week of the poverty. And Jovesolides joining the Pobreza Cero campaign, which looks for the implication of all social sectors in the figth for the eradication of the poverty. And from Jovesolides want to impliy to educational sector, pupils, teachers and families in the fight for a more inclusive and sustainable world.
The project will last 12 months, and it receives the support of the Autonomous Government of Valencia from funds destined for the Education for the Development.
