RYSE | The training of the European project Ryse, which will train 300 young Europeans in sustainable project entrepreneurship, starts at the IES Abastos in Valencia
The RYSE (Reinforcing Youth in Sustainable solutions towards Employment across Europe) project has been launched with the aim of improving employment opportunities for young people in Europe through sustainable solutions. The initiative, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme for a period of three years, promotes youth employment through comprehensive training combining sustainable development, active citizenship and project management, involving 300 young people from six European countries.
RYSE has taken its first steps in Valencia (Spain) with training for a group of 25 16-26 year olds from IES Abastos who are participating in a training programme in sustainable development, global citizenship and micro-project management. The participants are acquiring practical tools and fundamental knowledge to develop entrepreneurial projects that can have a positive sustainable impact on their communities.
At the end of the training, a jury will select the two best entrepreneurial ideas to receive professional support in their implementation and start-up. These groups will receive technical and financial support, enabling them to realise their ideas and contribute to the development of their environments. Throughout the project, it is expected that up to 24 micro-projects will be developed across Europe with a sustainable approach, each led by young people motivated to transform their reality.
A transnational bootcamp is also planned to take place in early 2025 in Portugal where the selected groups in each country will meet, giving them the opportunity to share experiences, learn from each other and strengthen their projects in an international collaborative environment that aims to empower youth with key skills for their future career, as well as to foster youth innovation and social entrepreneurship.
Youth workers will also benefit from the results of RYSE by acquiring innovative tools to help young people improve their employability through an active learning approach. To this end, a toolkit for professionals will be created to support young people in their integration into the labour market.
The RYSE project has the potential to transform the lives of young Europeans, especially those facing social, economic or educational barriers. In addition to improving their employability skills, the project aims to foster active citizenship and social entrepreneurship, contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable future. It will generate synergies that will facilitate youth labour integration and increase their opportunities for personal and professional development.
RYSE is a project funded by the Erasmus+ and driven by Le Partenariat (France), Jovesólides (Spain), Anthropolis (Hungary), CEFA (Italy), Aventura Marão Clube (Portugal) and Asociatia de Tineri din Ardeal (Romania).
