Some weeks ago, the third transnational meeting of social entities participating in Youth Online took place in Potenza (Italy). The main goal: to advance in the creation of an online tool to fight the school absentism of minors in European schools.
At the meeting, the conclusions of a study on school drop-out applied to teachers and students in Turkey, Italy and Spain were shared. Besides, the next steps to generate statistics on the key factors that determine this social issue were defined.
Among the issues that were raised in the study, those that stand out the most are bulling, lack of confidence in the academic environment or the lack of professional expectations for the future of students.
Likewise, entities established the structure and content of the online tool that will be created within the framework of this project. Its content will be the responsibility of Jovesolides.
The next meeting of partner entities of this project will be held in Valencia next April.
As partners of the project we had seven social entities from four countries: Hayal, leading the project, and Bursa Mem, both from Turkey, Learnmera Oy, from Finland, Liceo Scienze Umame, from Italy, and Escola Sant Gervasi SCCL, the Universitat Politècnica de València, and Jovesolides, from Spain.
Youth online is a project financed by the European Union through the Erasmus Plus programme. In order to be informed about the news and activities of this program, follow the hashtag #YouthOnline in social media.
